Hi! My name is Chrissy. I am the Managing Editor for OfficeArrow.com, an online community for office professionals. I manage a team of writers (1 full-time staffer, 4 freelancers, and nearly a dozen additional contributors) and I also contribute original content on a regular basis, including my popular weekly column, “Around the Web in 7 Days.”
Even from a very young age, words have always been my greatest source of strength. I enjoy thoughtful debate, I am a rare natural public speaker, and I consider my bookshelf home to some of my closest friends.
Writing has always been a part of my life. From poetry to short stories, I’ve explored and studied many different styles of the written word. I’ve found my home in writing for the Web. Today’s technology truly expands and elevates the global conversation and I’m thankful to be a part of it!
My first website, The Executive Assistant’s Toolbox, was purchased by OfficeArrow in March of 2008. This achievement is a great source of pride for me – and proof that hard work can make dreams you never knew you had come true. If you’re curious about my education, I received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Marketing from Sonoma State University in California. Professionally, I have over ten years of experience in business administration, specifically in the fields of finance and banking. Prior to writing for OfficeArrow, I was also a freelance writer. I’m currently enrolled in the UCSD Extension Copyediting Certification Program because I feel strongly that writing is a craft that must be studied from all angles. This is a very comprehensive collection of courses and I’m excited to be participating in it.
I currently live in Atlanta, GA with my two cats, Manchester and Hassimomo, and my yorkie-poo Mollie. Yes, I live in a zoo.
